Frilled Lizard
In courtship or when startled this territorial lizard spreads its ruff from inconspicuous folds to 25cm across making this animal seem larger and more intimidating. It also hisses and flicks its tail. The frill may help collect the sun's warmth for energy. This lizard can run fast - upright on its hind legs.
